Academic Marketing

Being well aware of the transformations of academic communication in recent years and placing particular emphasis on the dissemination of research results, we use both traditional and electronic distribution channels. In the case of the former, we cooperate with bookstores and book wholesalers, organize meetings to promote our publications as well as presentations of books during conferences, and we also actively participate in book fairs.

In the virtual space we mainly use Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) for publications and for authors Open Researcher and Contributor Identifiers (ORCID). In our activities, we place particular emphasis on indexing both journals and, recently, academic monographs in international bibliographic and parameter databases. We pay special attention to the metadata of publications, generated by our journal and monograph platforms, which are then placed in the resources of the above-mentioned databases.

We cooperate with Polish, European and American platforms distributing bibliographic information and electronic versions of publications. Focusing on the international reach of the published publications, which is very important in today’s academic communication, we do not lose sight of the local impact of a publication, which we ensure by cooperation with institutional digital repositories, including the Repository of the Jagiellonian University.
