Editorial Process

The entire publishing cycle involved the best specialists from the industry and representatives of the Cracow scientific community. We make every effort to ensure that the publications we publish are at a high level of content and editorial. In our activities, we implement the principles of ethics of publishing scientific papers to eliminate unfair practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

We archive materials related to the production of a given title, so at any time, after running out of print, it is possible to reprint or new edition of the book.

WE OFFER TWO PUBLISHING PATHS FOR SCIENTIFIC MONOGRAPHS

FOR RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS

STEP 0

The relevant publishing process precedes a meeting with the Author or Editor of the monograph, during which the mode of publication activities will be discussed, depending on the existing way in which the project is carried out (m.in. various grants, subsidies, rules required by the scientific institution). An indispensable element of this stage is the provision of information about the publication, the manuscript file and two scientific reviews carried out by independent experts in the field. In this regard, we allow different models of review: from double-blind, blind review to peer review. If necessary, we declare our assistance in finding the right reviewer.

We ensure the implementation of anti-plagiarism practices during the editorial stage thanks to cooperation with a team of experienced editors. In addition, we can carry out an anti-plagiarism procedure using appropriate software (for more see Review Process and Plagiarism Detection).

After the review has been successfully completed, we invite authors or editors of the monograph to a meeting at the editorial office or via video conference, during which further details related to the publication will be discussed and the proper publishing process will begin:

FOR INDEPENDENT RESEARCHERS

STEP 0

The relevant publishing process precedes the preliminary stage, during which the submitted manuscript is reviewed internally and consulted at an editorial conference held every Monday. Therefore, we ask the Authors or Editors of the monograph to send information about the planned publication by e-mail, as well as a file with its text.

We will notify the Author of the decision by electronic means or by telephone, and in the event of a positive decision, we initiate the external review process at the same time. It consists of an evaluation of the text by two independent experts in the field. In this regard, we allow different models of review: from double-blind review, blind review to peer review. If necessary, we declare our assistance in finding the right reviewer.

We also ensure the implementation of anti-plagiarism practices during the editorial stage thanks to cooperation with a team of experienced editors. In addition, we can carry out an anti-plagiarism procedure using appropriate software (for more see Review Process and Plagiarism Detection).

After the external review phase has been successfully completed, we invite authors or editors of the monograph to a meeting at the editorial office or via video conference, during which details of the publication will be discussed. Please describe the publishing project and its expectations in more detail and provide editorial and technical publication data to make a cost estimate. At the author’s request, we also offer support in choosing the right way to finance the publication.
